My Top 10 Nail Polishes of 2011

Hey Dolls,

Today I am going to show you my top 10 Nail Polishes that came out in 2011. My number one is OPI I Lily Love You it came from their 2011 spring collection called Nice Stems! This is my number one because I love Flakie Glitter polishes and this one is awesome it has a light pink base with rainbow colored flakies so awesome I wish OPI would make more polishes like this. You can wear it alone of layered over other polishes I love it on to the pictures:

Number Two is Orly Here Comes Trouble this is from their 2011 Summer Collection called Pin – Up, this was my favorite from that collection. Here Comes Trouble is a bunch of tiny green micro glitter with a ton of larger green round glitter in a clear base. This one can become fully opaque I love this one because hello it is green glitter, it is amazeballs on to the pictures:

On to Number Three it is Wet N’ Wild Back Alley Deals it is from their Winter 2011 Coloricon Ice Baby Collection. This collection was specifically exclusive  for Walgreens stores. I love this one because it is purple micro glitter with larger round pink glitter. It looks amazballs together. I love that you can layer it or wear it on it’s own. I haven’t shown this one to you yet but here’s a preview, I will show it to you soon.

On to Number Four OPI Servin’ Up Sparkle this came in a duo pack with Grape…Set…Match! this is from their Serena Williams Glam Slam! England collection. I love this glitter it is a unch of silver holo micro glitter with a ton of larger hexagonal holo glitter. I love the sparkle in this one on to the pictures:

Number Five for me would have to be OPI Fresh Frog Of Bel Air this is from OPI 2011 Holiday Collection The Muppets. I love how this one is a tom of emerald green micro glitter with several larger silver hexagonal glitter. It is amazeballs, on to pictures:

Number six is China Glaze Marry A Millionaire  from their 2011 holiday collection Eye Candy 3-d glitters. I love this whole collection for a few reasons A: it is glitter love it B: it is themed to Marilyn Monroe I love her C: China Glaze is one of my favorite brands and I always love their glitters. Enough about that, Marry A Millionaire is a bunch of purple micro glitter with a bunch of of tinsel bar glitter that reflects green and gold. Ok this polish is delicious and amazeballs, I love the bar glitter I don’t have many nail polishes with bar glitter but so far this is my number one bar glitter polish. I love how this one looks on the nails. On to the pictures drool……

Number Seven folks is Wet N’ Wild Diamond In The Rough I love this one because it is almost black its like a charcoal grey micro glitter with a bunch of larger holo glitters. I love this one it is from their 2011 Coloricon Ice Baby Collection. On to Pictures:

Number eight is OPI Last Friday Night is from the 2011 collection that came out towards the beginning of the year it was called The Katy Perry Collection. I love this color, some people hated this collection and didn’t like that the polishes didn’t look like the promo pictures but personally I loved all the the shades in the collection and how they turned out on  the nails. I love this one for layering purposes I love how it changes up a boring manicure. On to pictures:

Number nine is OPI Teenage Dream from the Katy Perry Collection. I love this one because its a light pink glitter that is just awesome. This polish was aptly named because it looks just like a dream on your nails. I love the tons of light pink micro glitter with the tons of larger holo glitter pieces. This polish is awesome layered or by itself. On to the picture:

Alright last but not least Number Ten OPI Warm & Fozzie from the 2011 holiday collection The Muppets. I love this one because it is a unique color I haven’t seen anything like it I love the way it looks on the nails. Warm & Fozzie was aptly named it totally reminds me of Fozzie’s fur I love it. Warm & Fozzie is described as a metallic copper, I detect beautiful, rich brown, mocha, golden and bronze tones in this polish as well. There are rust and pink particles that become visible in certain lights, which I think gives this polish a weak duochrome effect. This is a great polish on to pictures:

Day 247: Gold Glass Shards

Hey Dolls,

I was playing around with polish and I came up with this random design, I call it gold glass shards. For my base color I used OPI Alpine Snow Matte, on the tip I used Revlon Lunar. I used a dotting tool and OPI Need Sunglasses? to make polka dots. Then I put a clear coat on the tip and took some gold shredded glitter I think I got it at the dollar tree and put it on the tip. Sorry it’s a little messed up I’ve been feeling icky not really up to making new designs, but I promise it will get better soon. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…..

Day 247: Orly – Androgynie

Hey Dolls,

I have a fun polish for you that reminds me of New Years Eve, the polish I have for you today is called Androgynie by Orly from their Holiday Soiree. Androgynie is a combination of a sheer black jelly base with gold micro glitter and multi-colored holo hexagonal larger glitter. I love this color it is so awesome, application was ok. I would have liked the hex glitter pieces to have been distributed more evenly some nails got more pieces than others. But all in all this is a great polish for a ” Holiday Soiree” lol.  It’s pretty sparkly in the bottle, but the holo glitter does get swallowed by the black base, so you really don’t see a lot of the sparkly rainbow on the nail. This reminds me a bit of Sephora by OPI 212. I’ll show you a comparison later on.  It is a beauty, if you can get past the fact that you lose something in translation. I actually really liked how this looked on my nails. Two to three coats and you are good to go. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel……

Xmas Haul

Hey Dolls,

I wanted to show you what the hubby gave me for xmas and what I picked up the next day with xmas money and giftcards. First off what the hubby got me I love him he feeds my addiction to nail polish, lotion and makeup lol. First off I want to show you what I got in makeup. I really wanted this eye shadow pallet and was truly surprised he got it for me because every time we went to Sephora it was sold out. He got me Kat Von D Tattoo Chronicles Candelabra Edition Eye Shadow Pallet.

He also bought me two Sephora by OPI nail polishes  in Mermaid To Order and Countdown To The Kiss. I love these colors he knows me so well. hehehe

Then he got me a lot of lotions from Bath & Body Works, he got me a lot of awesome scents. He got Sweet Pea, Strawberry Sparkler, Paris Amour, two Warm Vanilla Sugars (my favorite) and Sensual Amber.

Then he got me these cute three packs of polishes at Sally’s. The first pack had three of China Glaze Crackle Metals, it came with Haute Metal, Latticed Lilac, and Cracked Medallion.

The Second nail polish set he bought came with China Glaze Dorothy Who?, Ruby Pumps, and Frostbite. He said he wasn’t sure if I already had these polishes but he was hoping that I didn’t funny thing I only had Dorothy Who? one out of eight polishes isn’t bad lol oh well it’s good to have back ups lol.

That’s all I got from the  hubby I love him he is so awesome. The day after xmas I went with my sister in law to go shopping and spend our gift cards and xmas moneys. We stopped at Ulta one of my favorite stores. I spent my gift card and some of my moneys here. First off I bought a lot of nail polish lol. The first one I picked up was China Glaze Crackle metal in Oxidized Aqua it was on sale for 4.99.

Then I got wet n’ Wild Black Creme (like I said always good to have back ups of polishes you use the most) and Caribbean Frost, these two were only 0.99 cents.

Then we got another polish for 99 cents it is Essence Where Is The Party? It reminded me of OPI’s Not Like The Movies from the Katy Perry Collection I will do a comparison later on.

Then I was browsing Ulta’s Brand in makeup and I noticed a sign that said buy 2 get 2 free oh I am all about a sale lol, so I pursued the nail polish and I cam up with my buy 2 get 2 free. I got Tink-Her-Bell (I love it for the name and color amazeballs), Alter Ego, Limelight and The Jungle Look (this one reminds me of OPI’s Jade is the new black or Don’t Mess With OPI  a comparison later on).

Then I walked by the Essie nail display and I fell in love with two polishes that had to be mine, Trophy Wife and Dive Bar.

Then I happened upon OPI display and noticed the Shatter polishes were on sale 5.99 regular 8.99 oh boy you know I was on top of that. I bought The Blue Shatter and Turquoise Shatter two out of the three shatters i’m missing. (I’m missing Navy shatter if you wanted to know lol).

Last but not least from Ulta we were standing in line and out of the corner of my eye I noticed Ulta’s Lust In Lace Collection at first glance they all looked like the same color but one closer inspection they were dark shimmery colors that I had to have for 9.95 I got four awesome shades and a random top coat I’ve never used before. The red shimmery color is called Of Corset is!, the green shimmery color is Let It Slip, the gold-ish green is called Underneath It All (automatically thought of No Doubt :D) and the blue shimmery one is called Let Your Garter Down. The topcoat was just called topcoat.

from left to right: topcoat, Of Corset Is!, Let It Slip, Underneath It All, and Let Your garter Down. The grand total was $53.87 I had a 50 dollar Discover gift card so all I paid was $3.87 hehehe  I’m Awesome.

Then we headed to a few other stores and we stopped in Claire’s and two nail polishes caught my eye they were $4.99 each but buy 1 get 1 50% off heheeh so I got Bedazzled (which looks like a dupe for Deborah Lippmann’s Happy Birthday comparison later on) and Glitter Top Coat (which also looks like a few other glitters I have but I bought it for comparison purposes.

and with that dolls that is my xmas haul until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel……

Day 246: OPI – Divine Swine

Hey Dolls,

I have an awesome glitter bomb for you today, this one is called Divine Swine From OPI The Muppet’s Collection. I love this glitter. Divine Swine is a bunch of purplish/magenta micro glitter with a bunch of large silver hexagonal glitter in a clear base. I love Miss Piggy and this collections consists of a few polishes named after the great one herself. This one did a great representation of Miss Piggy. This polish is similar to Gone Gonzo! and Fresh Frog Of Bel Air just in another color. I still love the whole collection anyways come on it the Muppet’s who doesn’t love the Muppet’s and I grew up watching them so I have a small place in my heart for them and this collection.Back to Divine Swine this one can be worn alone but it does need quite a few layers to become opaque. If lots of layers isn’t your thing you can also wear it over another polish to get a different effect. Personally I love it both ways, I took several pictures of Divine Swine alone and then I took a few of it over Orly Liquid Vinyl. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel….
