Day 322: OPI – Metallic 4 Life

Hey Dolls,

I have another awesome glitter from OPI’s Nicki Minaj Collection this one is called Metallic 4 Life. Metallic 4 Life has a small, medium and larger hexagonal silver glitter in a black base. It is absolutely jammed packed with glitter which makes it quite gloopy, but that’s just how heavily glittered polishes are, it’s how it applies that matters and it applies perfectly smooth. I love this one the black base is a little on the sheer side so it you don’t want to do two to three coats of this you can try it over a black polish. It’s gorgeous. Sparkly and different. Love it! I don’t know if I have anything like this one or not if I do I’ll do a comparison. This is one of my favorite shades from the nicki minaj collection. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel….

Day 283: China Glaze-Some Like It Haute

Hey Dolls,

GLITTER BOMB GLITTER BOMB!!!!!!  Oh yes baby this polish I have for you today is a glitter bomb it is called Some Like It Haute from China Glaze Eye Candy 3D Glitter Collection. This is one intensely gorgeous glitter polish, some like it haute? yes yes oh yes I do like it haute. I know there are several other similar glitters out right now, but I like this one the best out of them. It’s a superfine black, blue-gunmetal and charcoal microglitter and larger round holographic glitter in a clear base. It goes on so easily and the microglitter combines with the holographic glitter to give it so much depth and insane sparkle. Definitely my favorite in the collection. It’s not lumpy, it doesn’t bubble, and the holographic shine looks like fireworks on the dark microglitter base. I love this glitter, I love this collection, I love everything about it. This collection is themed to to Marilyn Monroe and her movies. I love all the glitters and all the names on these. This is a great fun collection whether you are a fan of Marilyn or a fan of fantastic glitters this collection is a must have. I will do comparisons of all the dupes of this polish soon. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…..

Day 278: Deborah Lippmann – Dancing In The Dark

Hey Dolls,

I have a fun polish for you today it is called Dancing In The Dark from Deborah Lippmann’s ‘Dance Music’ Mini Trio (Nordstrom Exclusive). Nordstrom describes Dancing in the Dark as “disco ball in the dark – glitter” which kind of made me laugh because aren’t all disco balls in the dark? Dancing In The Dark is a ton of gunmetal micro glitter and  larger holographic pieces.  It looks like a dark rainbow explosion on my nails. I love this one and it looks like a few other brands have dupes to this glitter also I will do a dupe post about this one very soon. It’s a bit on the sheer side but it builds nicely. It can become opaque in two to three coats. Glitter + Holo + Deborah Lippmann = perfection! It took me three coats to achieve full opacity but part of that has to do with the fact that this is a mini bottle and whenever I use mini brushes, it takes me a few extra strokes to get the polish opaque!  I really hope that Deborah Lippmann comes out with this in a full size because it’s gorgeous!  It’s the perfect winter polish with the dark grey base and then the holographic glitter just really pops! Dancing In Th Dark dries to a semi-matte and gritty texture, be warned – IT EATS TOP COAT! It took 3 coats just to feel smooth and after 6 hours or so it feels like it probably needs coat 4! Only issue I have with these, though from what I hear the other holographic glitters coming out have the same issues. That’s all I have to say tonight until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…..

Day 265: Deborah Lippmann-Forget You

Hey Dolls,

I have a fantastic glitter bomb for you today, it is called Forget You from Deborah Lippmann”s Get This Party Started Trio. Forget You is Multicolored and Multisized Hexagonal  glitter in a black jelly base. This one looked very promising in the bottle, but it fell a bit short once it’s on my nails. It looks good, but not as good as Happy Birthday. The black base in this shade seems to be the same jelly-ish type as with her other glitter shades, such as Across The Universe. If you want to save the trouble of having multiple layers with this shade, use a black base underneath. The multicolored glitter looks “forced” on some spots of my nails. I think using only one layer of this shade would alleviate this look. I was a little worried about this one, that maybe the black wouldn’t let the glitter peek through enough but nope…not the case! I really love this one. I do prefer Candy Shop in this trio but  not by much. The formula on both Forget You and Candy Shop was a little thick due to the amount of glitter in them but they were pretty easy to apply no troubles at all. You can get away with two coats but I did three, or if you prefer since the base is a jelly you can wear it over a solid black so you don’t have to put on so many layers. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…..

Day 250: Revlon – Lunar

Hey Dolls,

I have kind of a boring color to show you today but I felt a like it was time for a little boring- ness. Today’s shade is called Lunar it is by Revlon from their Just Add Sparkle Collection. Lunar is a jet black creme polish. It’s partner in crime is Galaxy . This polish needs two to three coats to become fully opaque, this is a great creme black and a staple in anyone’s nail polish collection. The only thing I dislike about this polish is the wonky brush that Revlon has in their polishes I loath it actually.  I threw in a few pictures with galaxy to show you how they go together. That is all I really have to say about this one, until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel….

Day 249: Nicole by OPI – Follow Me On Glitter

Hey Dolls,

Today I reached 10 Follows on my blog I am so happy makes me feel like I’m doing something right here lol I hope to get many more and see where this little journey will take me. Thank you for coming along on this ride with me, just wanted to say thanks now on to the nail porn. Today’s polish is called Follow Me On Glitter it is from Nicole By OPI and it is from their Kardashian Kolor Collection. Ok I’m sorry I’m not into the Kardashian’s like some people I think they are a train wreck people can’t stop watching, but they do make a damn nice nail polish collection. Follow Me On Glitter is kind of hard to describe but I would say it is a charcoal gunmetal gray with a hint of khaki in it. It is a smoky tinted base with grey-silver and black micro glitter and red, green, yellow, pink magenta, orange, sky blue and silver larger round glitters throughout. It is so unique and very beautiful on the nails it is amazeballs. Only in some lights you can see the multi-colored chunks of glitters . Otherwise it is very subtle on the nail. I want to get a back up of this color because it is so unique and gorgeous. Nicole By OPI describes it as a glittery deep gray that always has something to say. Follow Me On Glitter is a rather fitting name. At first glance it looks like a dupe for China Glaze Some Like It Haute, Sally Hansen Glitz Gal, Deborah Lippmann Dancing IN The Dark, Wet N’ Wild Diamond In The Rough and Nail’s Inc. Sloane Square but not quite I will do a comparison as soon as my Nails Inc. polish arrives. I would say it is similar to those polishes but not exactly. The Formula on this one was great, perfectly even, smooth and opaque. Three coats and you have full opaqueness not bald spots no streaking , even smooth color. The brush is a little short and awkward to me the handle is long and easy to hold on to but when you get to the brush it is a little on the short side but all in all it was easy to apply the polish. Well on to the pictures dolls, until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…..

Day 247: Orly – Androgynie

Hey Dolls,

I have a fun polish for you that reminds me of New Years Eve, the polish I have for you today is called Androgynie by Orly from their Holiday Soiree. Androgynie is a combination of a sheer black jelly base with gold micro glitter and multi-colored holo hexagonal larger glitter. I love this color it is so awesome, application was ok. I would have liked the hex glitter pieces to have been distributed more evenly some nails got more pieces than others. But all in all this is a great polish for a ” Holiday Soiree” lol.  It’s pretty sparkly in the bottle, but the holo glitter does get swallowed by the black base, so you really don’t see a lot of the sparkly rainbow on the nail. This reminds me a bit of Sephora by OPI 212. I’ll show you a comparison later on.  It is a beauty, if you can get past the fact that you lose something in translation. I actually really liked how this looked on my nails. Two to three coats and you are good to go. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel……
