Day 324: China Glaze- Gaga For Green

Hey Dolls,

I have an awesome polish for you today called Gaga For Green from China Glaze Electropop Collection. Gaga For Green is a froggy spring kelly green creme almost jelly-ish polish. Lemme tellya, I am GAGA for this! When I first saw this and the name I instantly thought of Lady Gaga dress as a frog, hehehe . Gaga For Green by China Glaze is a fresh kind of green that reminds me of spring because it’s light and carefree. It’s a simple shade of green that I respect. It’s easy for a polish with glitter to get your attention, but when you get a color that’s simple, it’s not always easy for it to stand out in the Sea of Bells and Whistles. Despite having a lot of greens in my collection, I really do like this one because of the finish. I love this polish for a few reasons, One is the name, another is the shade of green it is, and how lovely this applies it is fantastic like butter. This polish has something special it is a unique green that I will be reaching for over and over. Ahhhhhh I love this one I think I have to buy a back up because I will be using this one alot. I highly recommend this one. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel….

Day 318: OPI – Did It On ‘Em

Hey Dolls,

I have a fun polish for you today it is called Did It On ‘Em from OPI’s Nicki Minaj Collection. Did It On ‘Em is a a bright chartreuse creme. This isn’t so much a dupe of OPI Who The Shrek Are You? from the Shrek Collection as it is a combination of that shade and another Shrek polish, Fiercely Fiona. It falls somewhere between the two shades on the color spectrum. I will do a comparison post for you soon. Right away I can tell Did It On ‘Em is going to be a love it or hate it kind of polish but personally I love to wear shades like this! I love that they are so unique and not something a person would normally wear, like I’ve stated before i’m not much of a red polish girl or a normal manicure color. I love bold polishes that make a statement and this one does that exactly.  It leans more yellow or green depending on your lighting. I used three coats here and the formula was on the streaky side, although it self-levels fairly well. I can’t get enough of shades like this. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…..

Day 314: China Glaze – Cling On

Hey Dolls,

I have a fun polish for you today is called Cling On from China Glaze’s spring 2012 Magnetix collection. Cling On is  a metallic light olive green magnetic polish.  I used the chevron design on the China Glaze magnet.  It’s not that hard to use, but I did have to make sure not to touch the magnet to the polish.  I held the magnet over the nail for a few seconds. It didn’t show up that well so you may have to hold it 15 to 20 seconds to get the pattern to show up better. I thought the polish was a bit sheer so i used two coats before I made the design with the magnet. This is a cheap alternative to the more expensive magnetic polishes from other brands . Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel……

Day 313: China Glaze – Glittering Garland

Hello Dolls,

I’m so sorry I have been MIA for awhile I went back to work after my long vacation and I’ve been a little tied up but I’m back I know I owe you a few post’s so bare with me. Today’s polish is called Glittering Garland from China Glaze’s Let It Snow Collection, Holiday 2011. Glittering Garland is a dark green semi-transparent jelly base with green micro-glitter nail polish color. I am madly in love with the light Green shimmer in this because it’s not really a bright, in-your-face, type of shimmer. This is more of a “glow from beneath” shimmer that lights up the creamy base. The formula for Glittering Garland is absolutely great and only takes Two coats to become opaque. Glittering Garland is the star of China Glaze’s 2011 holiday collection. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…

Day 294: China Glaze – Ray-Diant

Hey Dolls,

Last but surely not least the last polish in the China Glaze Prismatic Chroma Glitter Collection. This one is called Ray-Diant. Ray-Diant is a Gold/Pale Green microglitter polish with all sorts of different coloured glitters, both small and hex shaped medium, that sparkle like crazy, as well as duochrome that flashes green to gold depending on the light. I had no trouble with application; it’s quite thick like these dense glitters usually are, but it wasn’t problematic. It did dry gritty and a little matte but nothing a few coats of a clear top coat can’t handle to smooth it out. It becomes opaque in two to three coats and you have a wonderful pale green glitterbomb on your hands. Literally ba bum ba. lol I took several pictures indoors and outdoors and also over a black to show off the duochrome more better. I don’t know why but in the sun this one alone just looked like silver glitter, but over the black you can tell its green. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…..

Day 243: OPI – Fresh Frog Of Bel Air

Hey Dolls,

I have a fun glitter polish for you today it is called Fresh Frog Of Bel Air from OPI’S The Muppet’s Collection. Fresh Frog Of Bel Air contains both small and large hexagonal glitter, but in this one all the small, dense glitter is green and the larger glitters are silver. It is a glitter bomb in a clear base it is build-able so you can wear it alone, but it takes quite a few coats like four to five to become fully opaque if that’s to many layers for you, you can always layer it over another color to spice things up. I only took pictures of it by itself to show the greatness that is Fresh Frog Of Bel Air. This one was named after Kermit De Frog heheeh I love kermy, I got to say OPI did  great job of capturing Kermit in this polish. I don’t know why the name is in reference to Will Smith’s T.V. show oh well. Enjoy lovelies until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel….

Day 241: China Glaze – Party Hearty

Hey Dolls,

Tonight Im gonna party like it’s 1999….. lol The name of the polish I am going to show you today made me think of this song. Today’s awesome glitter is called Party Hearty from China Glaze’s`Tis the Season Holiday 2010 Collection. Party Hearty is a mix of large, red hexagonal glitter; smaller green hexagonal glitter; and smaller silver and gold circular/square glitter. All the glitter particles are flat and suspended in a clear base. This is a shade that’s best layered over other polishes rather than on its own. But you can also wear it alone I took pictures of it by itself and over Orly Liquid Vinyl and Orly Luxe to show you the contrast between itself and other polishes. This is a fun shade to wear because of the three different glitters. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel……
