Day 300: China Glaze – Octa Gone Wild

Hey Dolls,

I have an oldie but goodie for you today it is called Octa Gone Wild from China Glaze Kaleidoscope Collection that is now discontinued (sad face) but never fear there is always evil bay I mean ebay where you might be more than you want to pay but if you want it’s there. anywoodoodle Octa Gone Wild is  is a light purple lavender with tons of awesome holographic goodness. This is a gorgeous color I love the dusty lavender holoness GORGEOUS.  Unlike the OMG! Collection, the Kaleidoscope collection loves the top coat. Instead of chipping, I found it was almost rubbing away?  I really want to try the Nfu-Oh Aqua Base – I heard it’s amazing for holographic polishes as a base. We shall see. It goes on sheer at first but it is build-able to complete opaqueness. I took several pictures of it indoors and out doors in the sunshine (Sunny California). On to the nail porn, until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel……

Day 295: China Glaze – Visit Me In Prism

Hey Dolls,

I’m taking it old school today, today I have Visit Me In Prism from China Glaze’s Kaleidoscope Collection. Visit Me In Prism is a silvery lilac holo. The Kaleidoscope collection is more of a scattered holo rather than a linear holo like the OMG collection. The formula on this one  is top notch. It’s thin and manageable, and it dries faster than any polish I’ve ever used. Lightning fast. it is sheer on the first coat, but after a few coats it becomes opaque and gorgeous. The main difference between the Kaleidoscopes and the OMGs is the size of the holographic particles. The Kaleidoscopes have larger particles and the holographic effect isn’t as smooth and linear as the OMGs. They may look like glitter, but these polishes aren’t glittery at all. They’re completely smooth, no chunks, no grit. These collections have been discontinued you can still find them on ebay if your willing to pay for them. I took tons of pictures indoors and outdoors in the sun to show you the holo effect. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…..

Day 271: China Glaze – Kaleidoscope Him Out

Hey Dolls,

I have a fun holo for you today it is called Kaleidoscope Him Out from China Glaze’s Kaleidoscope Collection. Kaleidoscope Him Out is a  light pale blue holo. The holo effect on this one is scattered it reminds me of Milani Cyberspace I will do a comparison soon. The formula for this color is great. Very easy to work with and only slightly sheer it becomes opaque in two to three coats. Unfortunately one of the bad things about holographic polishes is the fact that they chip super fast.  Dries semi-matte but still very shimmery & looks fabulous either its natural way or with a shiny top coat over it. Absolutely delicious. I took tons of pictures indoors and outdoors in the sun I will stop with the word vomit for tonight and show you the wonderful nail porn, until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…..

Day 221: China Glaze – It’s My Turn

Hey Dolls,

Guess what I have for you …… well if you’ve read the title you already know I have It’s My Turn by China Glaze from their Kaleidoscope Collection. It’s My Turn is a lovely gold prismatic shimmer Holo. Oh how I love this one I love gold nail polish but a gold prismatic holo ohhhh drool…… Love it. It’s incredibly bright and eye catching. This is a glittery Gold holographic polish meaning it reflects many different colors, but the glitter sort of works together, rather than independently. Those of you familiar with the OMG collection Holos you might think these look more like a glitter polish. I love the smooth-linear-ness of the OMG holos, but these are just….Amazing. I can’t tell which I prefer more, the smooth Holo of the OMG’s or the chunkier holo of these Kaleidoscope polishes. The OMG’s are pretty much opaque in 2 coats, the Kaleidoscope’s typically need 3, since they seem to not have much of a base color. But I love both collections  Just the same. The OMG have some chipping problems but I’ve yet to see any chipping problems with  this polish or the whole Kaleidoscope collection for that matter. I also added pictures of It’s My Turn outdoors in the sun to show you the holo effect in the sun. Well I have rambled enough I will just move on to pictures, until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…

Day 204: China Glaze – Don’t Be A Square

Hey Dolls,

My obsession Glitter polish and Holographic Polish today I have a holo polish for you it is called Don’t Be A Square  is from the China Glaze Kaleidoscope Collection. Don’t Be A Square is a  medium pink holo. Ok the fact that is a scattered holo and it is pink is totally awesome I love this polish. Not much to say but this one is awesome it becomes opaque in two coats and then you have scattered pink lovely holoness yummy. This is a fun polish to have in anyone’s collection, it is discontinued and a little hard to find but you can find it on ebay just be prepared to pay more than you normally would. Sorry the pictures aren’t that holographic looking it was raining today, but I will try to get some pictures when the sun comes out and post them later. I also added pictures of It’s My turn outdoors in the sun to show you the holo effect of this polish. Well lovelies that is all for today, until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…..

Day 185: China Glaze – Rated Holographic

Hey Dolls,

I have an awesome polish, it is called Rated Holographic it is from China Glaze Kaleidoscope Collection. Rated Holographic is a peach holographic shimmer. Two coats gave me full opaque coverage, but three coats deepened the color from a pink-peach to a peach-rose. It also smoothed out the holographic effect slightly – there wasn’t quite the rainbow effect I get with even two coats of any of the OMG colors, but it was a faint version of it. Versus the linear holo particles from OMG! these have a more scattered holo effect. I love the chunkie holographic bits in this polish, I also love the color, it’s very springy color to wear to brighten up your gloomy winter days. As with all holographics they don’t stay unchipped for long, but they’re worth the hassle. I love this collection it’s fantastic under the sun. I also added pictures of this outdoors in the sun to show off it’s awesome holo effect. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…..

Day 172: China Glaze – Let’s Do It IN 3-D

Hey Dolls,

On my quest to hoard all the holographic and glitter nail polishes in the world, this gem came into my life. It is called Let’s Do It In 3-D by China Glaze it is from their Kaleidoscope Collection. This baby is discontinued but you can find it on ebay for cheap or a small fortune depending on how lucky you get. As I may have mention this beauty is a holographic polish. The holo effect in the Kaleidoscope polishes lies somewhere between the linear holo of collections like China Glaze OMG and the Make Up Store holographics, and the more scattered, “gritty” holo like the Milani 3Ds.  I don’t really have a preference of how my holo polish turns out as long as it’s holographic. This one is a little thin and can become opaque in two to three coats. I also added some pictures of it in the sun to show off it’s awesome holo effect. This is a beauty and great holo for anyone’s stash until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…..
