Day 328: China Glaze- Blue Sparrow

Hey Dolls,

I have another interesting neon for you today this one is called Blue Sparrow from China Glaze Ink Collection. Blue Sparrow is a royal blue peppered with light blue glitter. The glitter leaves a gritty feel to the dried polish so between that and the matte finish you really need to use a coat of a thick glossy top coat to bring out the lacquer’s true brilliance. I’m showing you the color without top coat but I included pictures of it with a top coat. It’s such a gorgeous blue color with blue micro-glitter and it dries a neon/matte finish.  It was a bit streaky during application and took about 3 or 4 coats for it to look good, but I really LOVE this nail lacquer!! The blue is so vibrant and perfect for any time of the year in my opinion.  Personally, I like the matte finish but you can always add a top coat if you’d like some shine.  That’s all for now until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…….

Day 327: China Glaze – Flying Dragon

Hey Dolls,

Well what do we have here? an oldie but goodie. Today I have China Glaze’s Flying Dragon it was originally from their Neon Ink Collection, but I believe it is permanently part of their core colors now. Flying Dragon OMG is an awesome color it is a neon purple/magenta that has tons of amazing pink and blue glitter in it. Amazeballz. Like I said it is a neon polish and  in case you weren’t aware, neons dry to a semi-matte finish. If you don’t like that, simply slap on a shiny top coat like I did and you’re good to go. In my opinion it’s MUCH more stunning shiny – you’re just not doing the polish justice and you may or may not like it matte. I don’t know if my pictures do this polish justice but I took pictures of it bare and with a top coat to see if I could capture how amazingly unique this polish is I love it. If you don’t have this in your collection you must go out and buy it right now. lol Now on to the nail porn, until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel……

Day 201: Sinful Colors – Irish Green

Hey Dolls,

I have an awesome polish for you today, this one is called Irish Green by Sinful Colors, it was originally from their 2009 Halloween collection but I picked it up in their 2011 neon collection. Irish Green is a bright lime green which is very squishy and jelly-ish. It is a bit on the sheer side after three coats you can still see vnl so I suggest a nude or white base color to combat that problem. That’s about it for this one folks not much to say but I love it. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…..

Day 176: Sinful Colors – Neon Melon

Hey Dolls,

I have been feeling a little down in dumps so i wanted a little pick me up so I decided to show you all the most brightest obnoxious color I own 😀 and I love that about it, you all may know by now I’m not your typical red, pink or neutral polish kind of gal. I love the loud proud and obnoxious,…. the colors that make you go hmmm???? should I be wearing this to work? Yes yes I should be…….lol. Today’s polish I have for you is called Neon Melon by Sinful Colors and it was a re-promote from their summer 2011 neon collection. Neon Melon is an eye searing highlighter yellow color that is totally awesome I love this when I’m sad and I need a little sunshine in my life. This dries flat, a chalky matte finish which is pretty typical with neon polishes. I have a few shots of this one but you all probably know by now how hard it is to capture a neon properly. It looks exactly like a highlighter marker! The pictures really don’t do this color justice, it’s much more vibrant and almost ‘glows’ in person. At first this one is a little sheer so it can be a four to five coater to get full coverage or you can put a white underneath to make it pop and get better coverage. Enjoy the highlighter until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…….

Day 140: Kleancolor – Chunky Holo Candy

Hey Dolls,

mmmm I love candy, and I love anything holographic and I love chunky glitter and pink especially hot pink I love. So why wouldn’t I gravitate towards this polish? Well today I have one of the Kleancolor nail polishes from my haul. This one is called Chunky Holo Candy and it’s from their Chunky Holo collection well they don’t have collections per-say but if they did that is the collection it would come from. Chunky Holo Candy is a sweet color  mainly yellow, orange, and grass green suspended in a translucent coral-pink polish. The base color reminds me of China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy. This polish looks delicious in the bottle and on the nail it is sheer so with that said you can wear it alone but you may have vnl but that doesn’t bother me but I would try it over flip flop fantasy or black or another pink or anyother color to create all sorts of looks and transform any of your existing polishes. Candy went on very smoothly and evenly. It was very easy to work with, but thick. I preferred two or more coats to get more glitter shinning through. The glitter pieces are definitely chunky. You’d expect them to be gritty, but they’re not! They lie flat enough so when you run your finger on your nail, it doesn’t feel sharp at all. It doesn’t feel as smooth as a creme polish, of course, but it’s not rough like you’d expect. An awesome clear coat will help to smooth it out if that bothers you. I found that Candy dried fairly slowly and remained goopy for a while. So be sure to let polish dry thoroughly between layers. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel….

Day 115: Orly – Fresh

Hey Dolls,

So fresh and so clean… clean….lol, Today’s color is a green shade that is fresh, well that’s what Orly calls it Fresh from Happy Go Lucky Collection for back to school. Fresh is a bright grass green that borders on lime green, I would say it is a lime green creme shade. Fresh is a pretty color but a bit difficult to work with. It applies unevenly and you need two or more coats for it to be opaque and even. But I love it any way it is a beautiful green creme I don’t have anything like it in my collection, it is a nice addition to it. This is a great fun summer color, it reminds me of grass or a lime Popsicle.  Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…..

Day 101: China Glaze – Purple Panic (Neon)

Hey Dolls,

This shade is a weird one for me, because I saw it and was like that is an awesome shade, but then I havnt’ really used it since I bought it and then I used and I wasn’t really a fan of the shade it turned out on my nails. This one is called Purple Panic (neon) and is from China Glaze’s Wow Factor Neon Collection. Don’t get me wrong I still like it, it just isn’t one of my favorite shades that I own. Purple Panic has magenta  and blue micro-shimmer which looks stunning in the sunlight, but for some reason my polish has settled weird and ends up blah. So I don’t know, but the formula is awesome no streaky mess comes out smooth on the nails and dries matte . A few coats for it to become opaque and you are ready to rock a Purple Panic Manicure. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel….
