Day 307: Ruby Pumps

Hey Dolls,

How ya doing? I am loving vacation even though I keep waking up early ugh I wanted to sleep in but oh well. Today’s nail ‘s polish is awesome sauce for a red polish yes I actually said I love a red oh my. Lions Tigers and Bears Oh My…… lol. Today’s polish is called Ruby Pumps from the re-released Wizard of OOH AHZ  Collection. Ruby Pumps is a  red jelly with sparkly red glitter. I love this one it really does look like Dorthy’s ruby red slippers. This one becomes opaque in two to three coats. It does dry a little matte and gritty so a fabulous clear top coat will take care of that. I am so happy China Glaze re-released this collection and listened to all the nail polish lovers and fans out there. The re-released this collection to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the film The Wizard Of Oz. I love this movie even though it scared me as a child I love it that much more. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel……

Day 303: China Glaze – Make Some Noise

Hey Dolls,

I have a fun spring /summer shade for you today it is called Make Some Noise from China Glaze’s Electropop Collection. Make Some Noise is a Coraly- Red- Pink creme-jellyThis color has a great Two coat formula but you know me just for good measure I have to have three coats. It is a really fun shade. But i’m not sure I absolutely love it it pulls more red to me and I am not a red color kinda of girl. So would you like to make some noise with this shade? The formula on this one is like butter it goes on great but sheer at first that’s why it takes a few coats to become opaque. That’s all for now until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel….

Day 299: Sally Hansen Cha-Ching!

Hey Dolls,

Hello world how are all you doing? Today I have a glitterbombtastic polish for you it is called Cha-Ching! from Sally Hansen Gem Crush Collection. This little baby is a ton of red micro glitter with larger silver round glitter in a clear blase. I love this one it reminds me of flashy Vegas show girls with the big head pieces and glittery flashy dresses. This also looked a little familiar to me and then it hit me Gettin’ Miss Piggy With It from OPI’s Muppet’s Collection, they look like exact dupes of each other I will do a comparison soon. Cha -Ching! also looks like  China Glaze Love Marilyn. Hmm a trend I see. Well the formula on this one is a little thick but it doesn’t affect the way it applies, it’s not exactly smooth a great top coat will help with this and the silver glitter show’s up on some nails more than others. I have read some people had trouble with this collection peeling off the nails in whole stripes but I haven’t had a problem with that I use my China Glaze Strong Adhesion base and I am good to go. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…..

Day 274: China Glaze – Love Marilyn

Hey Dolls,

I have a fun glitter polish for you today it is called Love Marilyn from China Glaze’s Eye Candy 3-D Glitters Collection. I love this collection it was themed after Marilyn Monroe she is one of my favorites and it is all beautiful glitters. Absolutely love this collection one of my favorites. Love Marilyn is a beautiful combination of fine micro red glitter and medium silver round glitter suspended in a clear base. This polish blows your socks off I love it, now as you may or may not know I am not a red nail polish kind of girl but hot damn I do love red glitter and this one is a must have. I am usually a gold girl and I prefer red with gold but I have to say, I like this one a lot. The silver gives it an iciness that evokes that cool quality that Marilyn possessed. You can get this one opaque in two to three coats or if you prefer you can wear it over your favorite red or any other color to give it a little pizzazz hehehe I love that word. It was a tiny bit of a pain to apply it was a little task to get it to apply smooth and opaque.  It certainly isn’t difficult enough to banish it to “I Am Not Wearing That Shit Again!” land. It dries in nice time and it is fairly shiny and surprisingly smooth. It felt so lovely to the touch, even before top coat. One coat of your favorite top coat and you are good to go. On to the nail porn, until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…..

Day 264: OPI – Wocka Wocka!

Hey Dolls,

I believe I have the last polish in the Muppet’s collection from OPI  for you today it is called Wocka Wocka! But don’t worry dolls I will do a whole Muppet’s Collection post for you soon. Wocka Wocka! is  is a very pretty blue toned red with a hint of shimmer. This is a bold fun polish, which is the perfect recipe for a fabulous pedicure. I guess I’d call it sort of a cherry red.  But it’s not as plain as you might think. Like I said it has a hint of pink shimmer in it. As you may or may not know already I am not a red nail polish girl far from it but once in a while I will fall in love with a red or I just have to complete a collection because it drives me absolutely mad when I have an unfinished collection. Well this is not one of those times where I fell in love, don’t get me wrong it is a pretty red if that’s your thing by all means go right ahead but me I would have to say leave it. This did not photograph as well as I would have liked. In person, the color is much deeper and the shimmer more pronounced. This applies like a dream and is basically opaque in one coat, but if you’ve followed me from the beginning you may know I love to do three coats no matter what the polish is maybe it’s the start of ocd who knows but its got to be three. This polish does stain like crazy so you really need to use a base coat (or two). Be prepared to spend some time cleaning this off the skin around your nails as you try to remove the polish. That’s all I really have to say about Wocka Wocka! until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…..

Day 262: OPI – Animal-istic

Hey Dolls,

I have another polish from OPI  Muppet’s Collection it is called Animal-istic. Animal-istic is a bright red with a hint of orange, it has small regularly shaped flecks that flash red to a bit of orange depending on the light. My pictures didn’t capture that to well you just have to see that for yourself in person. It is a lively red and I love that it is not dark or heavy looking I’m not mush of a red girl but I would wear this one because it is a bright red with flakies 😀 It had a nice formula but it does take three to four coats to become opaque because it is on the sheer side. Other than that it is awesome. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…..

Day 241: China Glaze – Party Hearty

Hey Dolls,

Tonight Im gonna party like it’s 1999….. lol The name of the polish I am going to show you today made me think of this song. Today’s awesome glitter is called Party Hearty from China Glaze’s`Tis the Season Holiday 2010 Collection. Party Hearty is a mix of large, red hexagonal glitter; smaller green hexagonal glitter; and smaller silver and gold circular/square glitter. All the glitter particles are flat and suspended in a clear base. This is a shade that’s best layered over other polishes rather than on its own. But you can also wear it alone I took pictures of it by itself and over Orly Liquid Vinyl and Orly Luxe to show you the contrast between itself and other polishes. This is a fun shade to wear because of the three different glitters. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel……
