Day 328: China Glaze- Blue Sparrow

Hey Dolls,

I have another interesting neon for you today this one is called Blue Sparrow from China Glaze Ink Collection. Blue Sparrow is a royal blue peppered with light blue glitter. The glitter leaves a gritty feel to the dried polish so between that and the matte finish you really need to use a coat of a thick glossy top coat to bring out the lacquer’s true brilliance. I’m showing you the color without top coat but I included pictures of it with a top coat. It’s such a gorgeous blue color with blue micro-glitter and it dries a neon/matte finish.  It was a bit streaky during application and took about 3 or 4 coats for it to look good, but I really LOVE this nail lacquer!! The blue is so vibrant and perfect for any time of the year in my opinion.  Personally, I like the matte finish but you can always add a top coat if you’d like some shine.  That’s all for now until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…….

Day 322: OPI – Metallic 4 Life

Hey Dolls,

I have another awesome glitter from OPI’s Nicki Minaj Collection this one is called Metallic 4 Life. Metallic 4 Life has a small, medium and larger hexagonal silver glitter in a black base. It is absolutely jammed packed with glitter which makes it quite gloopy, but that’s just how heavily glittered polishes are, it’s how it applies that matters and it applies perfectly smooth. I love this one the black base is a little on the sheer side so it you don’t want to do two to three coats of this you can try it over a black polish. It’s gorgeous. Sparkly and different. Love it! I don’t know if I have anything like this one or not if I do I’ll do a comparison. This is one of my favorite shades from the nicki minaj collection. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel….

Day 321: OPI – Save Me

Hey Dolls,

I have a fun polish for you today called Save Me from OPI’s Nicki Minaj Collection. Save Me is tons of silver micro glitter with tons of teal blue bar glitter that is holographic and changes colors once the lights hits it just right in a clear base. You can wear it alone with just three to four layers but it is a bit of a pain to remove and you may need three top coats so it will be smooth because the bar glitter is a little on the sharp side. You can also wear it alone over other colors to give them a little pizzazz.  I’m addicted to glitter so of course I loved this polish!  The formula was easy to work with.  I had a few of the normal issues I usually have with bar glitter, like getting it applied evenly and making sure all the pieces laid flat, but still, totally worth it. Do you own this polish?  If so, do you prefer to layer it or wear it alone?  I think it would look great layered over so many different colors. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…..

Day 313: China Glaze – Glittering Garland

Hello Dolls,

I’m so sorry I have been MIA for awhile I went back to work after my long vacation and I’ve been a little tied up but I’m back I know I owe you a few post’s so bare with me. Today’s polish is called Glittering Garland from China Glaze’s Let It Snow Collection, Holiday 2011. Glittering Garland is a dark green semi-transparent jelly base with green micro-glitter nail polish color. I am madly in love with the light Green shimmer in this because it’s not really a bright, in-your-face, type of shimmer. This is more of a “glow from beneath” shimmer that lights up the creamy base. The formula for Glittering Garland is absolutely great and only takes Two coats to become opaque. Glittering Garland is the star of China Glaze’s 2011 holiday collection. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…

Day 312: China Glaze – Skyscraper

Hey Dolls,

How are ya? lol i’m great today I have a fun glitter fort you it is called Skyscraper from China Glaze’s Metro Collection. At first I only owned this in a mini because I bought the mini four pack and it came with three out of the four colors I wanted but I didn’t realize I would hate mini bottle brushes ugh they suck, so long story short I went into sally’s a few weeks ago and they had polishes on clearance and what do you know they had a big bottle of Skyscraper on sale for $1.99 you best believe I snatched that one up with a quickness lol. Skyscraper is a translucent blue-violet color base with lots of silver glitter. It is mostly opaque in two to three coats. but if you prefer you can layer it over a similar shade or over something totally different to change it up a bit. It doesn’t dry gritty at all and one coat of your favorite top coat gives it a great smooth finish. Skyscraper will be a little difficult to remove, like any other glitter-based polish, if worn alone and as densely as shown in the swatches, so I recommend soaking a piece of felt in remover and pressing against the nail for 15-20 seconds, then pull to remove. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel……

Day 311: Essie- Pure Pearlfection

Hey Dolls,

I have a fun polish for you today it is called Pure Pearlfection from Essie’s Luxeffects collection. Pure Pearlfection is well a little hard to describe but i’ll give it a go it pretty much is a top coat that has a pearl shimmer effect when layered over another color it really transforms colors and textures and I love how it looks a little different over every color it is layered over. I am obsessed with this nail polish. I think the result speaks for itself.  It gives the polish a completely new look – and I absolutely love it. I prefer shimmers to cremes and I can’t wait to try this over… pretty much everything I own. I took a few pictures of it by itself but you can’t really tell a difference and I also layered it over a black polish to show you the effect the polish has over another color. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel……

Day 310: Ulta Tink-Her-Bell

Hey Dolls,

So I absolutely love this polish I have for you today, I think it may have to do with what the name of it is because I love love  tinkerbell  but I still love it because its glitter and pink. I have Tink-Her-Bell from Ulta. Tink-Her-Bell is a ton of light pink micro glitter with a ton of larger round light pink glitter. This baby is jammed packed love it. It’s a great nude pink sparkle with multi-sized glitter. I really like the color, but since they have changed to round bottles, I find them really awkward. The brush isn’t long enough to feel comfortable or so you can see what you are doing clearly. So I don’t like that. This color is opaque in two to three coats. It does dry a little gritty but a great top coat can solve that. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel……
