Day 269: China Glaze – Electra Magenta

Hey Dolls,

I have another random Holo for you it is called Electra Magenta from China Glaze’s Tronica Collection. Electra Magenta is the absolutely gorgeous cool toned Pink in the collection. I say Pink because that is what I see lol, I do no see Magenta. Beautiful either ways, this one had an excellent two- coat formula as well. This one is comparable to OMG BFF Original Pink. Like I rambled on about yesterday I love this collection and the minimal holo effect that this collection has it is unique I love it. The formula is not to thick and not to thin it is just right. It goes on very smooth I love it. These are all holographic polishes but they are not what you would expect from a holographic polish. These are not linear holos. They are scattered holos and are mush less chunky compared to the China Glaze Kaleidoscopes. I LOVE this collection! And this particular color is just gorgeous. It is a very nice medium cool toned pink and I believe most people can wear this color. Ok enough word vomit on to the nail porn I took tons of pictures indoors and outdoors in the sunlight :D, until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…..

Day 268: China Glaze – Virtual Violet

Hey Dolls,

I have a random holo for you today it is called Virtual Violet from China Glaze’s Tronica Collection. Virtual Violet is a dark purple with scattered holo glitter. I am really happy China Glaze released this collection I know a lot of hardcore holo fans were disappointed with this collection. But I think it is unique in its own right I’m glad it’s different than OMG and Kaleidoscope that way I don’t have the same polishes in different collections. Enough of that ramble Virtual Violets holo effect is different from OMG and Kaleidoscopes holo effects, this one is more subtle. I’ve read that the Tronicas have better formulas/ wear than OMG but less of a linear holo effect. This is true, but does not take away from the fact that these are awesome and I’m very happy to have them!is the more vivid of the Two Purples in the collection. The formula for this was excellent. I only needed Two coats of color for full coverage and a strong holo effect. I believe this is comparable to OMG Collection LOL. I know the formula is pretty smooth but this polish drags big time so it must dry between coats to prevent pulling the polish off with the brush. That’s all I have about Virtual Violet on to the nail porn I took tons of pictures of VV indoors and outdoors sorry in advance for all the nail porn. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel……

Day 227: China Glaze – Digital Dawn

Hey Dolls,

I have another polish from China Glaze Tronica Collection to show you, this one is called Digital Dawn. Digital Dawn is a sort of peachy, rose pink, odd color. It has a touch of brown in it. I really don’t know how else to describe it, i’m not really a fan of it but as you know I love to have complete collection’s. I don’t think I will wear it that much by itself it’s more of a nail art or with some glitter polish, I don’t know I’ll figure something out. I used two coats and got full coverage. The formula was like butter, smooth and not too thick. We all are aware that China Glaze KNOWS how to do holos (OMG / Kaleidoscope collection) so I’m not sure why they didn’t deliver what we like. A great, in your face, holographic nail collection. It’s like they skimped out. I feel like they didn’t want to give us awesome holo polishes. The theme of this collection is perfect for it; they had the opportunity and they didn’t deliver.I almost feel as though the subtle holographic effect of this collection..may have been on purpose. It’s such a bum out that maybe they intentionally didn’t go truly holographic. Oh Well I still love the collection and it’s subtle holo effect. I also added some pictures of it outdoors in the sun to show you the holo effect of this polish. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel….

Day 226: China Glaze – Techno Teal

Hey Dolls,

Today I have an awesome polish for you it is called Techno Teal from China Glaze’s Tronica Collection. Techno Teal is  a dark teal that looks a little more green on the nail than in the bottle, but it definitely is a blue based teal more so than a green based teal. It is a scattered holographic that is only really apparent in sunlight or bright indoor lighting, and even then, it’s certainly not an in-your-face holo. Even when the holo isn’t apparent, it’s still a gorgeous polish in its own right.  People have been saying they didn’t like this collection because the holo effect isn’t bam in your face, but I still love this collection and you can tell in some lights  or depending on how the light hits the nail that the holo effect is there.  So it DOES exist in the polish, just not a ton. The formula was very similar to a linear holo. It’s that weird, resistant formula that doesn’t want to be on your nails. You need to use gentle, few strokes or the polish picks itself back up on the brush.  But in two to three coats it became opaque and it looks gorgeous. It did dry very quickly, though so  it was not problem waiting for layers to dry before you put on the next layer. I also added some pictures of it outdoors in the sun to show off its holo effect. I hope you love it as much as I do. Until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel….

Day 220: China Glaze – Laser Lime

Hey Dolls,

Today I have a holographic polish for you today it is called Laser Lime by China Glaze it is from their Tronica Collection. Laser Lime is a light lime green holographic polish.  The holographic effect is more scattered than linear.  Otherwise, it’s very similar to L8R G8R – I believe the base colors are very very close if not identical. The one is a little sheer at first but after two to three coats you have full opaqueness. The application was fairly typical for holo polishes, I made sure every coat was dry before I layered another as to not get dragging. Some people say this collection and this particular polish wasn’t very holo at all you can only tel in sunlight and it wasn’t very much at that. I believe that it doesn’t come off as supper holo because the holo effect is more scattered than linear where as the OMG collection is more linear. Well thats all for this baby hope you enjoy it until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel…..

Day 200: China Glaze – Hologram

Hey Dolls,

I have a great polish for you today it is called Hologram by China Glaze from their 2010 Tronica Collection. Hologram is a  silver holographic polish. The application was pretty standard for holographic polishes. This one in particular isn’t incredibly holographic, but it is a pretty light scattered holo.  For holographic fans – please be aware that these are not linear holos like in the OMG collection. These are scattered holos, i personally love all holographic polishes so this one is right up my alley. Hologram was a tad thin and there was “drag” on the 2nd coat. This is a staple and would be great for layering other holographic’s that are older and HTF or VHTF like DS “Shimmer”, OPI “Paris Couture for sure”, etc.Good holographic on this one too. Like I said some people have been complaining that these collection isn’t as holographic as OMG or Kaleidoscope collections but like I said it is a different type of holographic polish. I also added some pictures of it outdoors in the sunlight to show off its holo effect. It is still awesome to me until next nail polish, same nail time, same nail channel….
